The Shire of Plantagenet advises due to seasonal conditions the Restricted Burning Period has been extended for a further 14 days to 14 May 2024.
The fuel load across the Shire is in a dry state and until we have substantial amounts of rain the risk to the community remains high.
Please note: Permits to burn are required until 14 May 2024. The Shire of Plantagenet encourages landowners/occupiers carrying out any burning off activities on their land, to please log their activities by calling DFES Communications on Ph: 08 9395 9209. This will assist with volunteer resources unnecessarily responding to private Burns, mistaken as a reported fire.
