HEAL – Health Eating Activity and Lifestyle – program

The HEAL program is coming back to Mt Barker. Run by WA Country Health Service, HEAL can support you manage weight, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, blood pressure and cholesterol.

The eight-week program helps you develop healthy lifestyle habits. Each week, participants attend one two-hour session which includes one hour of light exercise and one hour of education on various lifestyle topics.

Topics include:

• What influences your health?
• Australian Guide to Healthy Eating
• Label reading
• Managing your health (with our dietitian)
• Recipe modification
• Healthy cooking 

Sessions are run in a friendly, relaxed and supportive group environment by qualified facilitators.
