Little Bang Club

Thursday 21st November 2024

Welcome to your Little Bang Science Discovery Club at the Library!

Little Bang Club is a free program for children aged 5 to 9 years (scientists) and their accompanying adult (lab assistants).

Its aim is to provide opportunities for children to think and behave like a scientist as they explore and make discoveries about the world around us. Participants will enjoy learning new things during the interactive and hands-on sessions and have the opportunity to continue their scientific investigations with a Discovery Box to take home.

The program will run over four sessions that will cover the basis of how science works:

Collecting and Classifying - 10 October

Measuring and Recording - 24 October

Experimenting - 7 November

Science Fair - 21 November

A Little Bang Club Passport will be given to each participant and stamped after each session and a graduation ceremony follows a Science Fair in the final session.

This program was created in partnership with Children’s Discovery, a not-for-profit organisation that develops STEM-based learning programs for children, with funding from the Inspiring WA STEM Grant 2024, Scitech and the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation.
