Plantagenet residents are advised that rabbit control will commence during Autumn.
Vials of calicivirus RHDV-K5 will be applied to carrot baits and released at various locations within the Shire of Plantagenet.
Calicivirus is specific to the European rabbit and does not pose a risk to humans, other domestic animals or native wildlife. Further information about the virus is available here.
Pet rabbit owners are advised to ensure their rabbit’s vaccinations are up to date.
