Heavy rainfall and flash flooding during a storm on 13 March has damaged local roads.
Gravel roads east of Albany Highway are now open to vehicles over 4.5 tonne with the exception of those listed below.
The following roads are closed until further updates are provided:
- Woogenellup Road from Carbarup Road to Chester Pass Road – local traffic only. Floodway remains impassable.
- Woogenellup Road North – local traffic only.
- Lake Matilda Road closed from Stirling Road to Shelderton Road.
- Millinup Road – closed from Rogers Road to Woodlands Road.
- Rogers Road – local traffic only.
The floodways at these locations are impassable – water remains over Carbarup Road, Lake Matilda Road, Takalarup Road, Woogenellup and Woogenellup Road North.
Signs are in place and these locations will be reassessed at 9am on 17 March.
The following roads have been impacted by the rain and caution should be taken when traversing them: Barrow, Bridges, Haig, Hawker, Knight, Newdegate, Nindiup, Porongurup, Washpool, St Werburghs and Yellanup Roads.
