The Mount Barker Public Library is participating in Switch Your Thinking’s Energy Efficiency Pilot Program, which runs from April to October.
The program aims to assist households to become more energy efficient and reduce their energy bills.
As part of the program, an Energy Audit Kit is now available for loan from the library. The kit enables users to understand and measure your power and water use and identify ways to improve your home’s energy efficiency.
Also available for loan is the Building an Energy Efficient Home booklet. This guide will help you to learn about sustainable housing design principles before you plan your build, to save on operating costs and improve home liveability.
Switch Your Thinking will deliver a range of free online workshops on:
- Reducing energy use and energy bills for households;
- Solar panels and battery systems;
- Home electrification;
- Electric vehicles and charging options; and
- Reducing energy use and energy bills for businesses.
